If you’re using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic and you’re trying to rename a folder but keep getting the error message “The folder could not be renamed or moved”, then this easy solutions for you.
What I found out is that if you click into the folder you are trying to rename and change the name, you will get this error nearly every time. If you keep trying it will eventually take but its frustrating and time consuming.
After trial and error, I found a solution. While on a different folder…right mouse click on the folder you want to change the name on, click rename and give it a new name.
This has worked every single time for me, and I no longer get this error.
